Gilded Prayers

Unreal 5 Environment

Concept by jiakanglin on ArtStation.

Responsible for modeling, sculpting, UV'ing, texturing, lighting and rendering. All models and textures were created by me except for the landscape textures and a couple of non-hero textures. The foliage is from quixel and the trees were assembled in SpeedTree.

Modeled the low res models in zBrush as a challenge. I will most likely not do that again :)

Kit

Kit pieces were mostly modeled in Maya. Grey stairs were sculpted in ZBrush. All assets textured with RGB masks made in Substance Painter

For the columns I made use of ZBrush's array mesh. I sculpted five different pieces and scattered them along the vertical axis to get the pattern I wanted. Rotating in ZBrush can be tricky because it doesn't like values that aren't integers. In this case, I used the deformation tab to rotate exact values that holding shift with the gizmo wouldn't allow.
